We have picked a just a few amazing events that are taking place this weekend that we thought you may be interested in attending, and that we know some of our own staff are planning on attending over the next few days.

Classic Vehicles Show

Every July, Chiltern Open Air Museum hosts a popular weekend celebration of classic vehicles. Come and admire an amazing collection of classic cars, lorries, traditional fire engines, motorcycles and historic bicycles. You will also be able to come and see a collection of historic tractors and wagons on our farm, which was once used for filming TV drama Downton Abbey.

Racing at Ascot 2019: King George VI Weekend

The King George VI Weekend celebrates the best of the British summer, and is one of Ascot’s most prestigious race meetings outside of the Royal Meeting. Enjoy a competitive six-race card, including the John Guest Brown Jack Stakes. This race commemorates the racing legend who won at no less than seven different Royal Meetings. Also on the card is the Carraig Insurance EBF Stallions Valiant Stakes.

the War and Peace Revival

War and Peace Revival show is all about military nostalgia, highlighting the fact that the time has come to say good bye to your troubles. While the wartime song goes on, choose the Hop Farm as your stopover and enjoy to the best with displays like military vehicles, battle re-enactments and a fashion show.

 

Over 3000 vehicles are included in re-enactments and drive-pasts. Plus, you may also come across plenty of stalls and a living history field to pick up military souvenirs, with a raffle to win a genuine jeep. The most awaited feature of the show is the wartime fashion shows that aids you to buy vintage pieces

Live music and dancing from the forties like jazz, swing and jump jive, together with funfair, helicopter flights, book signings, bars, etc. are very much the part of the show to enhance its pomp and glory and thus gift you a superb day out.
